Getting to and from John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK).

By car from Manhattan:
Van Wyck Expressway to Airport Exit
Belt Parkway East, to Exit 19/Van Wyck Expressway (678).

JFK taxi information to Manhattan from JFK:

There is a flat fare of $35.00 + tolls which are approximately $3.50 - $4.00 per toll.
Tipping is optional.
There is a 50-cent surcharge for trips commencing between 8pm and 6am.
One fare pays for all passengers to one destination.
Four passengers are the limit for New York City cabs.
Meter must read $2.00 at the start of the trip.

Subway to Manhattan from John F. Kennedy Airport:
Take the free yellow, white and blue long-term parking lot bus to Howard Beach Station. Connect to "A" subway train to Manhattan.

Getting to and from LaGuardia Airport (LGA).

By car from Manhattan:

Take the M60 bus to Manhattan or Queens, which is operated by NYC Transit Authority.
Connects with NYC subway trains 2,3,4,5,6,1,9,A, C, and D trains.

Taxi from Newark Airport to Midtown and Downtown Manhattan:
Flat fares range from $34.00 - $51.00 determined by zone plus tolls.

Subways

For just $1.50 you can travel over 30 miles on the "A" train, which makes New York City one of America's greatest travel deals. You can also travel on the nearly two dozen additional subway lines, enjoy frequent service and clean trains that serve nearly 4 million passengers on an average weekday. Subway service runs 24 hours a day. Buses

The bus system in New York City is very impressive. Manhattan has over 200 local and 30 express bus routes and carries over one million passengers everyday. The entire city bus fleet, operated by MTA/New York City Transit is lift equipped with kneeling features, wheelchair securement devices, public address systems, and spaces reserved for people with disabilities.

Bus fare is $1.50, which you can pay in coins, with a token or Metrocard. Since the introduction of the Metrocard several years ago, you can now transfer free between buses and from buses to subway, as well as enjoy economical day, week and monthly passes. The minimum cost for a Metrocard is $3.00. Farecard machines are located in many subway stations, and many news stands throughout New York City.
